Mandir Maintenance
Annual Costs
Did you know that the beautiful Surya studio also serves as the home for a consecrated, Nataraj Mandir? (A mandir is a temple where the deity can be removed if need be).
The Siva Nataraj Mandir was activated in August of 2005, by Pujari Sri Ramanuja Acaraya.
During this ceremony, the deity, Nataraj was invoked and invited to into a yatra which is currently situated in the main yoga studio at Yoga Mandala.
How wonderfully applicable as Siva is after all the progenitor of Hatha Yoga and his Nataraj form depicts the Universal Dance of Creation and the wonder of stillness in action.
In November of 2007, we were able to appropriately house Siva Nataraj in a custom-made, Balinese temple house, purchased in part by donations from wonderful practitioners such as yourself.
But the costs don’t stop with the installation and the housing – daily puja is performed with the minimum amount of offerings we can afford. We need your help to maintain the temple. These daily pujas honor the energetic impression of Siva Nataraj and preserve its strength.
All donations are made to Trika Institute, a 501c3 non profit and are therefore tax deductible. If you would like to sponsor a larger donation, a number of daily pujas will be made in your name and you will receive prasad (offerings) from those pujas.
A $125 donation sponsors 1 week of pujas. $250 sponsors 2 weeks, etc. If you are interested in become such a sponsor, please contact us at jnanagnikula@trikainstitute.org or leave your name and phone number at the front desk of Yoga Mandala.
